Enhancing Precision in SBRT: The Role of Expiration Breath Hold

The expiration breath hold (EBH) technique for stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) is increasingly being used to minimize tumor motion and improve treatment accuracy for thoracic and upper abdominal lesions, particularly in lung and liver cases.

We welcomed Hassan Abbas, Medical Physicist and RSO from Ellis Hospital to describe more about the use of EBH in SBRT at Ellis Hospital.

From this webinar, you will better understand the rationale and mechanism of expiration breath hold (EBH) in SBRT and compare EBH with other respiratory management techniques. Hassan also described tips for implementing EBH protocols effectively and present quality assurance considerations for EBH-guided SBRT.

This session is ideal for radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists looking to expand their understanding of SGRT motion management tools in high-precision radiotherapy.
