Strategic orders of the C-RAD Sentinel system

Strategic orders of the C-RAD Sentinel system
C-RAD AB with its three fully owned subsidiaries is all active in the field of
radiation therapy. A new and improved version with new functionalities of the
C-RAD Sentinel system was during Q3 released. In November important orders of
the new system were booked.
The Sentinel hardware has been further developed in order to increase the
quality, improve the service friendliness and to lower the manufacturing cost.
The manufacturing process has been streamlined and been moved to a
subcontractor with a long experience of medical device manufacturing.
Deliveries of the new system have started. The improved system has been well
received by the market.
Uppsala University Hospital ordered their third Sentinel laser scanner system
in the beginning of November. This system will be installed and integrated with
an accelerator system delivered by the Swedish company Elekta. The delivery
will include complete new functionality for advanced respiratory gated
treatments. The Sentinel system will communicate with the CT- scanner at the
clinic, its treatment planning system and the linear accelerator to control the
respiratory gated procedure.
C-RAD is developing and manufacturing a private label version of the laser
scanning system for the German company LAP. LAP is the leading company
worldwide in the field of alignment lasers for use in radiation therapy. LAP is
also developing and selling advanced laser systems to the European Airbus
Group. Three orders were booked for the LAP version called Galaxy. More orders
are expected.

Erik Hedlund, CEO, C-RAD AB:
"We are very pleased with the new bookings for the Sentinel system. The order
to Uppsala University Hospital including complete new functionality for so
called respiratory gating will be challenging for the employees of the C-RAD
group. The system will be developed in close cooperation with Uppsala
University Hospital and Elekta.
The close cooperation with the German company LAP has improved the performance
of the Sentinel and the Galaxy solutions. LAP has in 2008 increased its efforts
to sell the system. Galaxy has been presented at all major international
events. In order to satisfy the demand 3 orders of the Galaxy system was
placed."
