C-RAD announced today an order for its advanced surface tracking technology from Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden. The customer decided to equip the newly ordered linear accelerators with Catalyst HD™ and upgrades the existing C-RAD installation to its latest version.
With a capacity of in total eleven linear accelerators and two more treatment rooms under construction Sahlgrenska University Hospital together with the satellite center in Borås is the largest radiation therapy department in Sweden and one of the leading academic medical centers. As part of the tender the customer secured an option to equip all remaining linear accelerators with C-RAD technology.
The Catalyst HD™ system will be delivered with the complete software suite for DIBH (Deep Inspiration Breath Hold) and SRT (Stereotactic Radiation Therapy). The C-RAD SGRT solution is packaged with modules for patient positioning, respiratory gating and motion monitoring during treatment. C-RAD provides interfaces to seamlessly integrate its products into the workflow, for a maximum in user comfort and patient safety.
The order amounts to a total of approximately 8,5 MSEK. It includes beside the C-RAD SGRT systems a minor part of dosimetry products that C-RAD is distributing in Sweden. It is expected to commence delivery for the first system in the fourth quarter 2018. The project is booked as order intake in the third quarter 2018.
