C-RAD AB and its three fully owned subsidiaries are all active in the field of radiation therapy. The company exhibited at the physicist meeting ESTRO in Maastricht, the Netherlands, 30 August - 2 September. The Sentinel™ laser scanner system was demonstrated in the C-RAD booth and also together with Elekta. Meetings with several major vendors were held also regarding the GEMini™ detector system. The ESTRO meeting is the major European event in radiation therapy, this time held in Maastricht in the Netherlands. The C-RAD Sentinel™ system was exhibited both by C-RAD and the radiation therapy company Elekta. The Sentinel™ system in the Elekta booth was presented together with Axesse™, the Elekta high-end solution for stereotactic radiosurgery and radiation therapy. Both displays were attracting attention from clinicians as well as representatives from the key vendors. Several distributors also announced their interest in representing C-RAD on their respective markets. Scientific studies on the Sentinel™ system were presented by university hospitals in Italy and Germany. These studies confirm the sub-millimeter accuracy of the Sentinel™ system and its advantages compared to conventional methods such as portal imaging in correctly detecting misalignments in all six degrees of freedom. Erik Hedlund, CEO, C-RAD AB: “The annual ESTRO meeting is the single most important opportunity for reaching out to the European radiation therapy community. Our cooperation with Elekta continues to give us an added exposure and creates a greatly increased awareness of the C-RAD product line.” For further information: Erik Hedlund, CEO C-RAD AB, Phone +46 - (0) 18 - 66 69 31, E-mail erik.hedlund@c-rad.se
