New president of C-RAD Incorporated in the US

C-RAD AB with its four fully owned subsidiaries is active in the field of radiation therapy. Mr. Martin Clay has been appointed as new president of C-RAD Incorporated in the US. C-RAD Incorporated is responsible for sales of C-RAD systems in North and South America.

C-RAD is developing and marketing systems for use in radiation therapy to improve precision and effectiveness when treating patients. The company has developed three different systems for use in radiation therapy. The newly announced Catalyst™ system is an advanced system based on latest technologies in hardware and software for use in the whole treatment chain. The Sentinel system is a dedicated solution for motion control of the patient that can be expanded for use in positioning of the patient and for so called respiratory gating. The GEMini ED system is an advanced detector device to record images both when using X-Ray and Megavolt.

With 7 years in the Radiation Therapy industry with LAP North America Mr. Martin Clay installed and provided training of over 100 Virtual Simulation systems worldwide. He then took the position of Installation Manager for North and South America for 2 years before becoming the Direct Sales Manager for North America.

Erik Hedlund, CEO, C-RAD AB:

”Martin has many years of experience to sell products to the radiation therapy clinics in the USA. In his former position he got in contact with the C-RAD surface scanning technology. The experience of Martin will be important to develop direct sales and sales in cooperation with our partners especially on the US market. ”

Martin Clay, CEO, C-RAD Incorporated:

“I'm very excited to be joining C-RAD Inc. who has an excellent, professional team and a very attractive portfolio of products. Having worked with all staff levels, at every type of cancer center, I understand how the RT workflow is paramount to success for both clinic and patient.

Technical failures and human errors are infrequent, but when they do occur the safety of patients can be dramatically compromised.  Opportunities for increased safety can come from improvement in performance of the individual, the team and/or the equipment. This may include automated monitoring systems available to enable operators to control the delivery process and to recognize unintended actions immediately as well as process improvements that enhance safety.

The C-RAD Catalyst™ system can overcome these issues with reliable verification of patient identification, setup and positioning of equipment, patient set-up, intra-fraction motion detection and collision avoidance. The sum of these measures reinforces the treatment chain, therefore improving patient safety.

My primary goal is to establish C-RAD Inc. as the recognized leader for Motion Management Solutions in North and South America.”
