The C-RAD and CYRPA integrated solutions were for the first time presented at the ESTRO meeting

C-RAD AB with its three fully owned subsidiaries and three international sales companies are all active in the field of radiation therapy. The 2013 European oncology meeting took place in Geneva, Switzerland 19 to 22 of April. Complete solutions based on the C-RAD and Cyrpa program were presented for the first time together.

The annual ESTRO meeting is the largest event in Europe where companies working in radiation therapy meet with clinicians and partners. The C-RAD booth was centrally located and close to the major linac vendors. The Cyrpa booth was attached to the C-RAD exhibition.

For the first time C-RAD presented complete clinical solutions for all applications.

The full range of Catalyst functionalities was presented with a patient lying on an Elekta Hexapod Evo couch. The special focus was put on the respiratory gating solution with its unique patient biofeedback based on audio and video couching. Catalyst respiratory gating will be compatible to the new Elekta Versa HD linac as well as to other Elekta linacs. The required interface will be released after the validation. The interface to Varian linacs is released.

For the first time the GEMini system with dosimetry software was presented. Both the software and the unique performance of the detector were appreciated by clinicians and partners.

The integrated software platform for the CT room with Sentinel functionality for 4DCT and virtual simulation was demonstrated on the Cyrpa booth. This solution has been presented to major CT vendors.

Cyrpa showed its complete program for the CT- and the linac room including the newly released product HITSD.

Erik Hedlund, CEO, C-RAD AB:

“C-RAD after the merger with Cyrpa is the only vendor in the market with a complete and integrated program of optical systems for positioning, motion detection, respiratory gating and virtual simulation.

Clinicians, partners and distributors were all enthusiastic about the performance and the clinical work flow developed for the different applications.”
